In June 2023, my PSA test returned normal at 2.0. When repeated in July, it unexpectedly spiked to 6.0, and further increased to 12 just two months later. Biopsies confirmed prostate cancer with multiple metastases visible on a PET scan—all within a span of four months. Fortunately, a friend recommended Dr. Sartor, whose extensive research on Advanced Prostate Cancer (APC) had prepared me well. Collaborating with my oncologists and urologist, Dr. Sartor crafted a treatment plan for this aggressive disease.

Reflecting on this journey, I believe that five years ago, my prognosis would have been significantly bleaker. Thanks to the pioneering work of Dr. Oliver Sartor, my outlook is more hopeful today. As Jimmy V famously said, “Cancer can take away all of my physical abilities. It cannot touch my mind, it cannot touch my heart, and it cannot touch my soul.” If there’s one organization deserving of your support to extend lives effectively, it’s the Blue Ribbon Soiree. Your donation can make a tangible difference—there’s no question, no doubt about it.
